Primary liability
The policy your authority depends on. We place it and file the BMC-91 so FMCSA sees it.
Primary liabilitySemi truck insurance for an owner-operator or small for-hire fleet usually means four policies working together: primary liability, motor truck cargo, physical damage on the tractor and trailer, and non-trucking liability if you lease on to a motor carrier. Our agency writes all four for truck tractors running under their own authority or leased on, from a licensed office in Las Vegas.
Step 1 of 5
Truck tractor and trailer insurance placed by a licensed Nevada agency. Federal filings are submitted with the policy.

The policy your authority depends on. We place it and file the BMC-91 so FMCSA sees it.
Primary liabilityCovers the freight in your trailer. Brokers will ask for the certificate before the first load.
Motor truck cargoFor leased-on tractors when you are not under dispatch.
Non-trucking liabilityUSDOT number, tractors and trailers, garaging ZIP, drivers. Two minutes on the form or one call.
A licensed agent reviews your operation before anything goes to a carrier.
You pick the option. We bind it and submit the BMC-91 and any state filing as part of the same job.
FMCSA does not require cargo insurance for general freight carriers. Brokers and shippers do, by contract, and $100,000 is the common minimum.
The policy is your insurance contract. The BMC-91 is the form your insurance carrier files electronically with FMCSA to prove that policy meets the federal minimum.
